Postcard Writing Projects

Vice-Chair Kelly Krieger has organized two different post card writing projects!

Time to start working on voter persuasion for November.  I need people to write postcards, people to donate stamps (or money to pay for them), and a few people who can help with delivering and picking up post cards from writers.

Here are the projects.  You can participate in both if you wish, since they are spread out from July through October.

1.  I have 10,000 postcards to write for voters in Pennsylvania (a swing state for November).  You’ll sign up for multiples of 25 (most people do 100), use the scripts I will provide, and either purchase your own stamps or let me know you need help with stamps.  I have the cards in hand, so you are welcome to write starting now, as long as we get them all in the mail by the same time.  I’ll direct you when to mail.

2.  I have another 10,000 postcards for a new project just being launched by Postcards to Swing States.  I’m excited about this one, since it follows all good research practices for how we can actually persuade voters!  Each voter that we write to will receive 10 postcards between July and November, each highlighting a news headline and script meant to persuade dissatisfied voters.  We’ll have to EXACTLY follow scripts and mailing dates on this one, since the organizers are analyzing our results, and we want to eliminate as many variables as possible.  I don’t yet have the cards for this one, but they are on their way to me!

Reach out to me with the following if you want to participate:  Your name, your email address, your physical address (so that I can deliver postcards), and your phone number.  Also let me know which project you want to help with and the number of cards you’ll write.  Keep it to multiples of 25 please!  You can respond here to this post, or pm me through Facebook.  You can also email me directly at kjkrieger27@gmailcom

Thanks in advance for fighting with me!

Kelly
