Whatcom Democratic Labor Alliance
The Whatcom Democratic Labor Alliance believes all honest work is honorable and should be treated with dignity and respect. The alliance’s goal is to forge a stronger relationship between the local Democratic Party and local union and non-union workers. The goals of the WDLA shall be to:
-
Serve as a resource to Democratic candidates and elected officials on labor issues
-
Help build bridges between Democratic candidates and elected officials on the one hand, and union and non-union workers on the other
-
Inspire greater participation in the Democratic Party from union and non-union workers
-
Represent the interests of all workers, both union and non-union, on the Executive Board of the Whatcom Democrats
The labor alliance meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM via Zoom. Contact Aisha Womack at aishawombat@gmail.com for the zoom information.
