Jan. 18 Membership Meeting: Election of 1st Vice Chair, Resolutions on Salmon Net Pens, Reducing Incarceration
We will have a full agenda at our Thursday, January 18 General Membership Meeting at the Bellingham Public Library. Note that this month only, the meeting will begin at 6:30 pm.
We will consider three Resolutions: One on Reducing Incarceration in Whatcom County, another on Phasing Out Atlantic Salmon Net Pens, and a third on Electrification of Freight Railways (“Solutionary Rail”).
Precinct Committee Officers (PCOs) will elect a new Whatcom Democrats 1st Vice Chair.
Bellingham’s Superintendent of Public Schools Greg Baker will speak to us about an upcoming School Bond vote.
There will also be a first reading of proposed changes to the Whatcom Democrats Bylaws. Those will then be voted on at the next General Membership Meeting in February.
